The plan for myself is to finish the two year diploma program at Macewan, after that I plan on beginning tattooing. I'm so interested in all that there is to learn about tattooing. I'm so excited to learn about another art form. I think that the origins of tattooing are so interesting, many cultures have their own designs that mean certain things and the differences in methods and tools. I'm choosing this topic to educate myself on where this art form originated. I feel as though, if i'm going to be taking this path seriously in my life, i need to understand the cultural and historical significance of tattooing to many people. This education feels necessary to approach contemporary tattooing. I absolutely love learning as much as I can about art. There seems to be a never ending amount of knowledge to attain which can be overwhelming but it mainly pushed me to try to grasp as much as I can. With this research project I'm hoping someone learns something and that I grasp a better understanding of the art form I'm aspiring to get into.
